Engineer of the Year Award & Young Engineer of the Year
The Lehigh Valley “Engineer of the Year” and “Young Engineer of the Year” awards recognize and distinguish outstanding engineers in the Lehigh Valley area. Recipients are engineers who have made significant achievements in one of the following areas: Professional society activities; Civic, fraternal, religious, or humanitarian activities; professional and/or technical publications, papers, or patents; and the field of engineering during their career.
The awards are presented during the Engineering Week Banquet held in February.
Candidates are evaluated based on:
- Education & Collegiate Achievements
- Chapter, PSPE, and NSPE Activities
- Technical Society Activities
- Additional Activities (Civic, Fraternal, Religious, Humanitarian)
- Publications, Presentations, Papers, Patents
- Professional & Personal References
- Engineering Experience

Scholarships
Lehigh Valley PSPE awards outstanding high school seniors pursuing the study of engineering an annual scholarship award. The chapter offers this recognition to encourage and enable young students in their pursuits of an engineering career. Interested parties should contact their school guidance counselors for additional information and the application form.
